This takes no strategy, bluffing, collusion, or much of a challenge but hopefully better results for players and house gets it's cut too.
Tell me what you think of this idea? Thank you.
I call it "Money Poker". It goes like this: Dealer keeps $10 for the house with each pot. Players ante up a min of $25 per pot/play. Each player is dealt 2 cards face up. Dealer deals the flop of 3 cards face up. Best hand wins. Min winning hand is one pair. If no one wins then $10 more per player for turn card, and $10 more for river.
This takes no strategy, bluffing, collusion, or much of a challenge but hopefully better results for players and house gets it's cut too. Tell me what you think of this idea? Thank you.

I've picked up playing poker again. This time my focus is on video poker. I'm finding it to be a fun hobby. I have a method of playing that lets me build up and keep small wins. After I profit on one machine, I cash out and remove my players club card. Then move to the same type of machine in the row. I keep repeating the same process, over and over for awhile. It's felt by many regular players that by cashing out after a win, it resets the cycle. True or not who knows? it's all supposed to be random? so we are just moving around from machine to machine randomly too! lol. It seems to work pretty good for profits. Go figure?! :-)
VP players log: April 2014 All casinos listed here have parking for semi trucks. Lost $50 at Ho Chunk casino in Madison, WI. playing slots. Lost $20 at truck stop casino in SD playing slots. Played $40 and broke even at Winstar casino in Oklahoma playing video poker. Huge city size casino. Best VP machines are near the poker room. Books on gambling and video poker listed by author name and updated often. Bob Dancer Gretchen Archer Jean ? of Frugal Gambling fame. Frank Scoblete more to come and updates to this info. After suffering from the harsh winter my spirits are happy that spring and warmer weather is here. I'm loving the flowers and trees in bloom.

Go figure?! :-) Could the Malaysian govt have shot down the plane and didn't want the public to know they did it? The reason it could of been shot down, as the theory goes, is when the plane turned left, and the tracker was manually shut off in the cockpit, and the plane flew over Malaysia for an hour, ... could the govt try and fail to contact the pilots, then the govt quickly decides it must be a terrorist act, and proceed to shoot it down to avoid another 911??
Could the govt have manually taken over the controls from ground & crashed it? I don't think so if they would of landed it. If it was shot down, then if terrorist act, why not crash into KL? govt says they lost track of plane? how can that happen? they had pings that the pilots had no control over? who could of shot the plane down? and no one steps up to claim terrorist act? could of been shot down and why and by who? whom? Check out my Trucking Journal from the tabs on the left. I made a new entry today. :-)
Yesterday was my last day at Omaha trking Co. I had a teary goodbye. They have been wonderful. After getting the rental car & lunch, I cleaned out the old trk and loaded up the rental & went west 250 miles to Cedar Rapids, IA.
I chked in at their training center. The place has a college dorm atmosphere. They pre set me up with a hotel room. Kelly & I checked in and it took me about 5 trips from car to room to get everything into the room! lol. All the stuff that I carry in my big rig. blankets, pillows, clothes, dog food, porta potty, trash can, cleaning products, broom for sweeping out trlrs, all kinds of footwear; rain boots, snow boots, regular boots & flip flops. etc... So I'm going to get lunch here soon. Stay tuned, more later. :-) I've been stuck in too much snow this winter so far. I gave my 2 week notice last Monday. I will start with a new company where I can choose my loads. I will have more CONTROL over where I go. I am looking forward to that.
Stay safe, truckersue & my dog Kelly. :-) Monday I am giving my 2 week notice to my current company. I will be changing to a new company to be a Lease Owner Operator. Two of many reasons for this move are: I can pick my own loads, and I'll make more money. I won't be stuck in snow, high winds & tornados as often. I have a good mentor that has been working with me & getting me prepared for my new venture. I've been a OTR company driver for 15 years. And now I'm moving up in the business. :-) Stay tuned to my Trucker's Journal to follow my story. :-)
Can truckers take a snow day off? If you're hauling liquid hazmat like I am you might. I'd rather stay parked & let the storm blow over. It's bad enough that the snow plows can't keep up with it. 3' deep is more than half my height! My dog Kelly has to dig a path to the bathroom spot! Stay tuned to the snow day saga.
What have I accomplished in the past year? Have I just been working all the time? Let's take a look & I'll be adding to this as I remember more things.
1. Work as a truck driver has been good & steady. 2. My Australian friend Roy came to visit in March. 3. Roy's daughter Erin visited the house. To pick up her dad's car & drive back to Canada. 4. I took a nice vacation to California & Arizona and spent time with family & friends. 5. I made some new friends in 2013. They are Debbi, Subrena, Helen, Ann & her husband Bill. And more friends on Facebook like Tash from Australia, and many more. I'll add more stuff when I think of them. I'm grateful to have my friends, family, job, money, modest little home & my special dog Kelly. Take care & Ttyl. Susan & Kelly. :-) |
